Bearwood Hub Newsletter - 21st March
What's on over Easter and on the horizon for Bearwood Community Hub!
What’s on?
Wednesday Warm Welcome
Open 27th March, Closed 3rd April!

We’re excited to say that next week Wednesday Warm Welcome will be open 11:30am - 2pm at Bearwood Baptist Church Hall!
Grab a cuppa and have a chat with a neighbour, learn to crochet or knit with our volunteer Alex, find reassuring advice from Sandwell Consortium’s Cost of Living Team, nab a new pair of jeans at the free shop and enjoy a hot meal at lunchtime with friends.
Wednesday Warm Welcome will be closed on the 3rd April for Easter and will then return on 10th April.

Launching Soon! Grief Kind Space - Starting 13th May!
Last year we mentioned that we would be opening the very first Grief Kind Space in the Midlands with Sue Ryder and the Dorothy Parkes Centre. After several months of preparation we are nearly ready to launch!
What is a Grief Kind Space?
They are weekly, in-person drop-in sessions held in the local community and run by trained volunteers. The sessions provide a safe, informal and supportive place for people to come together and share their experiences of grief, helping attendees to feel heard and less alone.
The sessions are welcoming, inclusive and open to anyone who is over 18 and has experienced a bereavement, whether you want to attend regularly to connect with others in similar situations or just drop in for a quick chat.
Drop in on Monday 13th May between 10am - 12pm at Dorothy Parkes Centre for a friendly cup of tea and a safe space to talk about your grief.

New Crafting in Company Group! Tues 16th April, 7-9pm @ The Old Dresser Cafe
You may remember the Tapestry, a monthly meet up to craft and socialise started way back when by the Crafty Muthas. As all good things often do, it ended quite some time ago, but Ceri and Melanie felt that it was time to have a crafty night in the neighbourhood again.
Introducing… Tapestry: Rethreaded, whilst good things end, they can also begin again.
In case you never been to a craft night, this is how it works: bring your own craft project, like knitting, crochet, embroidery or whatever you fancy and join us for some chat and meeting of like minded people.
We will run three session before the summer: April, May, and June. Join us for the first, at the charming Old Dresser Cafe on the 16th April.
