Come & Clown Around for our Last After School Play of the Year!
Join us for our last After School Play of 2023 next Wednesday from 3:30pm - 4:45pm for an extra special Circus Show from The Flying Seagull Project! As seen on BBC Three’s Amazing Humans, The Flying Seagull Project share the joy of circus and clowning to bring experiences of wonder and value to children and communities all around the world.
Seagull shows are a boisterous mix of comedy, clowning, magic and circus, with the focus on audience participation and engagement. They are loud, they are proud and they never fail to raise a good belly laugh from the whole community.

Requests for Donations
Thank you SO MUCH for your kind donations - they have made such a huge difference to local families this Winter!
We are still trying to help a family who have been moved out of temporary accommodation into a completely unfurnished and unfitted property, and still need a double bed frame (mattress has been sorted).
Wednesday Warm Welcome
Our last Wednesday Warm Welcome before we break for Christmas is an extra special one, with a sit down Christmas lunch prepared by our wonderful team of volunteer chefs! We’ll be cooking 50 meals for those who have signed up for the lunch, which means we won’t be running entirely as normal next week.
Our free shop won’t be open to browse but we will be open to people with specific requests between 11:30am and 1pm.
ESOL will be going ahead for one last class before the new year, but we will not be running Bring Your Own Art Club and there will be no Citizens Advice drop in service this week either.
You can still drop in for a tea, coffee and chat between 11:30am and 1pm but due to the set number of lunches we have available, only those who have already signed up will be able to join us for lunch.
We will be back in the new year as normal, on Wednesday 10th January from 11:30am! With the full compliment of:
Tea, Coffee, Chat
Advice from Sandwell Consortium’s Cost of Living Team
Bring Your Own Art Club
Free Shop
ESOL
Community Lunch
After School Play with Go Play Sandwell
FREE Stay & Play Monday (Christmas Party & Christmas Jumper Edition)

Next Monday, volunteer Deeanne will be kicking off the festive celebrations at Bear Bookshop with a Christmas Jumper Party edition of Stay & Play! Drop in from 10am until 11:30am with your best festive garms!
Co-worker Spotlight
Meet Co-worker: Kerry Lowe!
Kerry is a Progression Coach for young people with learning disabilities, working for a charity called ThinkForward. Kerry also works at Bear Bookshop, and volunteers for local CIC Fantastic Journeys, so you may have seen her around!
Kerry has been using the co-working space for the past few months and says “I love working at the space and find it makes me way more productive than being at home. I love the sense of community and all the interesting people you meet and local things you find out about. It’s such a welcoming and friendly space, and makes you realise what a wonderful community we live in”
If you would like to join us at the coworking space, book in a free trial ready for the new year!
